KYO MACLEAR is an award-winning novelist, essayist and children’s author. Her books have been translated into fifteen languages and published in over twenty countries, have earned numerous awards, including the Governor General’s Literary Award and the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award, and have been nominated for many others such as the TD Canadian Children’s Literature Award and the Kate Greenaway Medal. Kyo holds a doctorate in environmental humanities and is on faculty at the University of Guelph Creative Writing M.F.A. and the Humber School for Writers.
